My Muse Is Evil

I’ve been working on the most horrible things I can inflict upon humanity and it is excellent stuff.  It makes me wonder why this aspect comes so easily.  The last story I wrote, I melted a screaming- slowly-dying-horse, ripped people apart, by way of having them eaten alive by a horde , and sent humanity back to the stone-age via brimstone and fire.  Among *cough* other things.  I can’t count how many times I came out of the office crying because of the horrid stuff I had just written and visualized.  Heart wrenching as it was, I was thrilled at the same time.  Ugh.

It came out again as I went through Week 2 Part 1 of HTWAS,  a couple of minutes ago.  So I continue with the dual state of being horrified yet excited about what is coming in this novel.

It’s Coming Together

Things are coming together as I work through this lesson.  I’m having to go back and strengthen what I’ve already written, like hot points and themes, but it is helping me to make a stronger story.  My weak areas are being torn apart and stronger ideas are taking their place.  I’m becoming more and more excited as I go through the HTWAS course because it is making me rethink many things and come closer to what I have envisioned.  Filling out worksheets I’ve already completed because I finally ‘get it’ is a very small price to pay for being able to create the book I want to.

Alright, I’m off to do worksheet rewrites and finish the last two pages in this weeks course.  Then on to week two.  😀

Onward.

Just a quick update.  I’m closing the poll and working through the HTWAS Teaser Worksheet.  I’m going through this very slowly so I can get the most out of it.  I’m still in week one of the clinic.  As soon as I’m finished I’ll work through the other clinics and workshops as needed to make these stories the best that I can.  I added a link to HTWAS so it’s easier for those who are interested in it to check it out.  Or you could click here.

Headache: Came Back With The Flu

Another supposedly short post tonight.  I printed off a massive list of vices and virtues so I could use them for character motivation.  That way everyone has a different set, with maybe a couple over lapping.  It helps keep everyone from sounding the same and lets me layer them.

I watched more of “HTWAS”, How To Write A Series but started to feel really horrid.  I hope this is all coming out in a sensical fashion.  I don’t feel that way now.  I’ve got the whole shee-bang; head, chest, joints, fever, chills.  I couldn’t get enough water earlier so I took some salt.  It’s working and I’m able to retain the water I was massively loosing. I’m heading for bed soon.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better work day.

Headache: Gone With The Bath Oil

I have some excellent news to share.  My headache is gone.  It was getting worse and worse, I could barely open my eyes earlier.  But my husband came home and scrubbed out the tub for me.  I hate bathing unless the tub is cleaned right before, I also have to shower before so I don’t sit in my own scum, eew.  I used this stuff called, Stress and Tension by Village Naturals Therapy.  It is a foaming bath oil containing:  juniper, orange and menthol. It smells pretty funky but, it cleared out my sinuses very quickly and snuffed out the headache quick.  I thought I’d pass it along because it helped me and if it helps you that’s even better, in my book.

I also need to update everyone on Prue’s discovery and pass it along because it is very helpful.  She talks about tracking what each of her characters know.  Here’s her link to that post:

Alright, I’m going back to taking notes.  Oh, and as you can see I moved a couple of things around, added a new word count meter because I realized I needed a whole lotta stuff the happen before “DTD”,  like the whole shattering of dimensions, first fall out and all of that goodness.

Back to disecting series’.
